My Story
Hi :) My name is lucy. I am 44 years old and work my Scentsy Business alongside my full time job.
I live in a little village in north warwickshire called galley common. I live there with my boyfriend and our 2 furbaby sausage dogs...they really are my world :)
We moved their almost 2 years ago and absolutely love it. We really have found our forever home :)
I first joined Scentsy in November 2017 after being a customer for a few months. After seeing my consultants posts and how her personality came across in them, it made me want a piece of it. I know it's cheesy but as a child I always loved playing shop and getting crafty and when I was older I always dreamt of having my own little shop and making my own crafts to sell. I could see that scentsy could help me re-live my childhood dreams of doing both of those things. I told you it was cheesy but it's so true.
After a million and one questions and ummming and arrrrhing for a few months I finally took the plunge and joined. I was planning on just buying for my family who had already bought warmers of their own, but I wasn't even a day in to my scentsy journey and all that changed. It made me think that I could actually do this and make a go of it. My first order was a whopping £700 and within the first 15 days I hit my shooting star and soon got a promotion to certified consultant. I was amazed at how much my friends, family and work colleagues were loving it. I have been with scentsy over 3 years now and love it as much now as I did when I first joined, if not more.
During my 3 years with scentsy I have promoted 3 times, I am currently a star consultant and I am so ready for my next promotion. Joining scentsy is the best thing I have ever done. I love being a Consultant so much and I love sharing the products. I absolutely love the relationships that I have built with my scentsy team and the wider scentsy family. I say family because that's what it is. We are all one big happy family that supports and motivates each other on a daily basis. When we meet up for scentsy events throughout the year, even though we have never met in person before, we act like we have known each other for years. No awkwardness or anything, just lots of hugs, support and lots of cheering each other on.
My why has changed so many times during my time as a consultant, I started off just wanting the freebies if I am honest and didn't even give the fact that we also got paid commission a thought. Then the car that I had decided to break and was beyond repair :(
Having scentsy in my life meant that I was able to get a new car on finance. At that time that's all I then wanted from my Scentsy Business. I thought as long as I am earning enough commission to pay for my monthly car payment then I was happy. That was 2 years ago now and my why has changed again. I have seen where scentsy can take me, I have seen so many people succeed in this business and change their lives, right before my eyes and do you know what...I want a piece of that
...I want to see how far I can go and with sheer grit and determination I will get there. I am dreaming big. In 5 years time, if not sooner, I want scentsy to be my full time and only income. There you go, I have said it, dream those dreams and write those goals down!!! If this last year has taught me anything it's to go after your dreams and don't let anything stand in your way. I am not afraid to admit that I have a tear in my eye whilst I am writing this. It's been such a tough year losing the most special person in my life, my best friend, my beautiful mom. Scentsy was right there when I needed it the most, not to make me forget about what had happened, nothing will ever make me forget, but it gave me something to focus on. I have been on furlough for most of the past year aswell and have only been paid 80% of my wages for the majority of the time. All I can say is thank goodness for my scentsy commission. Having that 2nd pay packet each month has been an absolute god send and has meant I have been getting 100% pay and a little bit more. For which I am so so grateful.
I have grown so much since I have been with scentsy, my confidence has grown and I have made so many friends, friends for life. I really have found my happy place. Scentsy is a part of who I am now and I can't imagine it not being in my life 💗
